Prague Passport and Visa

Visas

U.S. and Singaporean citizens can stay for up to 30 days without a visa. Most citizens of the E.U., Switzerland, and New Zealand can stay for 3 months without a visa. Irish, Canadian, and U.K. visitors can stay for 6 months without a visa. Other nationalities will require a visa and they should check with an embassy as fees vary by country of origin. Business visitors will need a suitable visa, which requires an invitation from a Czech company or government official. Only basic business research can be conducted on a tourist visa. All visas must be obtained in advance.

All travelers must have onward tickets, valid travel documents, and sufficient funds (US$270). Registration in each town is no longer enforced, but the law is still on the books. It is best to check with your hotel operator about this procedure. Carry copies of your visa and passport to leave at hotel offices.

For the very latest information about visa policies, you are better off visiting the website of the Czech Foreign Ministry, and click on the English version of the site. From there you can get the latest Visa information for your country.
