Shopping Overview Besides eating and drinking, Osaka`s main pastime is shopping. The city is a shopping Mecca, with underground arcades, department stores and shopping centres all vying for the wallets of Osaka`s spendthrifts. Apart from the major department stores such as Sony Tower, OPA, Daimaru and Big Step, Osaka has specialised areas for buying particular items. In Dotombori, there is the Dogusuji-ya Arcade, where every kind of kitchen accessory and food model is on display.
