UOL Group Expanding Serviced Apartments in Asia-Pacific over the Next Three Years
The UOL Group, a leading serviced apartment provider, has recently reserved one third of its available funds to expand its business across the Asia-Pacific over the next three years. The company plans to add fifteen to twenty hotels and serviced apartment properties to its portfolio during this period time.
The UOL Group recently launched a 126 unit serviced apartment development called Pan Pacific Serviced Suites which if the first of many serviced apartment residences to be established under the Pan Pacific brand name. The company plans to open five more properties under this brand name within the next three years as well as the first Pan Pacific serviced apartment residences in Bangkok.
Pan Pacific Suites in Singapore will likely be the only one of its kind as a result of rising property prices and will be difficult to replicate. The property which is located near Somerset MRT station cost the UOL Group $38.5 million to build and is currently taking reservations. Move and Stay at www.moveandstay.com has additional information. The company originally considered building serviced offices but decided to go with serviced apartments to participate in the current international expansion into Singapore and the growth of expatriates seeking short-term housing.
The UOL Group further plans to seek high growth markets such as Vietnam, China, Thailand, and Malaysia. and bought the Pan Pacific hotel brand last year which included 12 hotels in the US, Canada, and Asia to become a key player in hotel management in the Asia-Pacific region. The company plans to grow the brand by expanding into serviced apartment residences. UOL is not a newcomer to providing serviced apartment residences due to the fact that it owns serviced apartment property under its Parkroyal brand which it maintains as a four-star property. Pan Pacific Serviced Apartment Suites will be a five-star property.
