TRANSFER BETWEEN TERMINALS: The two Domestic terminals are almost 1km (0.6
miles) away from the International Terminal. A free shuttle bus runs between
the terminals every 20 minutes 0600-2200; alternatively passengers can walk
between the terminals.
INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS: The Visitor Information desk (tel: (0)9 256 8535)
is located on the ground floor of the Arrivals hall in the International Terminal.
Blue Coat ambassadors also provide passenger assistance. Flight announcements
are rarely made over the PA; passengers should consult boards and screens for
flight information.
AIRPORT FACILITIES: Money and communications: Banks with bureau de
change facilities are located throughout Departures and Arrivals in the International
Terminal. ATMs can be found in various locations in the International Terminal
and on the ground and first floors. There are also post boxes throughout the
terminal. Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, cafs and
bars at the airport. Shopping: There are over 80 shops throughout the
airport. Other facilities: There is an airport medical centre just outside
the International Terminal. Recreation facilities include a children's play
area, health club, golf course, golf driving range and mini golf. A free mini
theatre can be found in Departures in the International Terminal.
DISABLED FACILITIES: Facilities for people with special needs include automatic
doors, lifts, wheelchair assistance in the International Terminal, accessible
toilets and showers, as well as ATMs with Braille keys. There are also disabled
parking spaces for card holders in the airport car parks.
CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES: The Airport Camera Centre on the first
floor in the International Terminal provides photocopying, fax, domestic courier
and postal services. There are three conference rooms on the top floor of the
International Terminal and a further three rooms (tel: (0)9 256 8915) in the
Air New Zealand Domestic Terminal, suitable for small or large groups. Catering
facilities (tel: (09) 256 8915) are also available and conference rooms can
be hired at the Aviation Country Club (tel: (0)9 275 6265). Laptop computer
connections are available in the reading/writing area and Internet connections
are located both landside and airside.
CAR HIRE: Car hire companies include Avis , Budget and Hertz .
CAR PARKING: The main and long-term car parks are located in front of the
International Terminal; for more information, call Parking Services (tel: (0)9
256 8527).
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: The journey to/from the central business district takes
around 35 minutes. To get to the airport take the southern motorway until the Gilles
Avenue exit and then follow the airport signs or aircraft arrows.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Road: Taxi: Taxis serve the airport. Bus: Shuttle
buses also serve the airport and can be shared. Airbus provides a shuttle service
between the airport and city centre, with buses leaving every 20 minutes during
the day and every 30 minutes during the evening. There is also an airport-to-Pakuranga

Airlines Listing and Information
At last count, the following airlines had scheduled international passenger
services to or from New Zealand. Most flights arrive and depart at AucklandInternationalAirport,
and some also in Christchurch. A few flights, mainly from Australia, use smaller
airports such as Hamilton, Dunedin, Queenstown (yes you can fly direct into
Queenstown from Australia now, at least for part of the year). An asterisk
